California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE)
What does it fund?
CAL FIRE operations in the State Responsibility Area including defensible space inspections, helping communities create and update Community Wildfire Protection Plans, fire prevention education, fire hazard severity mapping, implementation of the State and local fire plans, fire-related law enforcement activities such as arson investigation fuels reduction projects that reduce the risk of wildfire to communities, evacuation routes, and infrastructure.
