What does it fund?

No-cost direct installation of energy efficiency measures, solar water heating, and solar photovoltaic systems at farmworker dwellings.

Who is eligible for funds?

Income-qualifying farmworker households within the following counties:

  • Fresno

  • Imperial

  • Kern

  • Kings

  • Madera

  • Merced

  • Monterey

  • Napa

  • Riverside

  • San Diego

  • San Joaquin

  • San Luis Obispo

  • Santa Barbara

  • Santa Cruz

  • Sonoma

  • Stanislaus

  • Tulare

  • Ventura

How does this program provide benefits to priority populations?

The program targets energy efficiency measures and rooftop solar PV for low-income farmworker households in the 18 counties with the largest farmworker populations. Households benefit from reduced energy costs as well as lighting and appliance upgrades and improved home energy efficiency and thermal comfort.

How do I access funds?

Farmworker households apply through a first-come, first-served process. For more information call (833) FOR-LIWP. Assistance is available in English, Spanish, and other languages.
