Nature-based Solutions Programs
By implementing nature-based solutions, many California Climate Investments programs are sequestering carbon, increasing resilience to climate impacts, improving ecosystem function, and preventing greenhouse gas emissions. Programs also provide financial incentives for on-farm management practices that sequester carbon, including soil conservation practices, establishment of herbaceous and woody cover, and compost application. These programs, along with several others, support natural landscapes that provide life sustaining resources including clean air, water, and food while contributing to a carbon neutral future.
